麦克法兰说是阿基拉启发了他创作这部动画，恰好那个时期的美国电视动画里缺少了青少年和成人向的类型，三季就完了，其实故事并没有说完，手办和漫画里的很多角色都没有登场，只保留了初始的故事线，动画镜头加入了很多元素，像蝙蝠侠、重金属和阿基拉的结合体，有些元素启发了后来Frank Mill的罪恶之城
